Although their name has been in the firearm industry since the late 1800's, Iver Johnson reinvented their production line in 2003. Today they are major importer of various firearm platforms and, more notably, 1911 style handguns. The Iver Johnson Eagle XL is a single action only semi-automatic adaptation of the iconic John Moses Browning 1911 pistol. Chambered in 10mm Auto, this pistol has a 6" barrel, giving it a long sight radius that contributes to its superior accuracy. The barrel and slide are ported to reduce muzzle rise and mitigate recoil. The pistol features adjustable target sights, a skeletonized trigger, combat hammer, beveled magwell, extended slide stop, extended thumb safety and checkered walnut grips.
