In 1873, Colt’s single-action Army (SAA) revolver became the Army’s standard sidearm. Cavalry troopers were armed with the new revolvers. Lawmen and outlaws alike were quick to adopt the handy new 6-shooter which earned the nickname “Peacemaker.”

The 1873 Cattleman El Patrón Cowboy Mounted Shooter (CMS) is a customized, full-size, single-action revolver designed to make mounted shooting easier. It’s available in traditional .45 Colt or powerhouse .357 Magnum.

Its short barrel is well-suited for quick draw. And the low hammer profile makes it easier to cock and shoot the CMS with one hand while mounted on horseback. A walnut grip is checkered for improved handling. The stainless steel frame displays a new twist on the revolver’s nostalgic looks. The rest of the metal on the Uberti is stainless steel as well for a smooth, even appearance, which includes the barrel, cylinder, trigger, backstrap and ejector rod.
