GreAt CCW but limited sight options

Written by Greg on Apr 23rd 2021

Overall, this is a great gun for any occasion. Width is perfect for my hands, takes a bit used to if you’re used to gripping a G19. The fact you can swap slides from the G43 and 43X give you plenty of alternatives with one frame and 10rd capacity with options for up to 15rds makes this a true game changer between this and the G19. The integrated backstrap gives the gun a comfortable grip and recoil is manageable. I run a Crimson Trace 1550 red dot which is slightly wider than the Sig Romeo 0 but has a good sight picture and can still clear oem iron sights. The only 2 cons I have with this model is that glocks slimline MOS only allows you to use the J footprint (Romeo 0, 507k, cts1550 just to name a few). There are no Glock made adaptors for other sights. Aftermarket makes one for the 507c however it would require suppressor height sights to add irons. The second con is the rail is shallower and not as wide as traditional glocks, so only certain lights really work well, some others require additional modification. Some may complain that the trigger break is hard however I won’t comment as I’ve only put 150 rounds at this time through and it is not broken in. Even that said it performs well and hits its marks with great consistency. All in all; this is a superb Glock, I would recommend it to anyone eyeing a good all around conceal and carry. If you are wanting a Glock to modify and add lights and bigger sights I would look at a full sized model over the 48/43x
