Rock River Arms got into making AR-15 rifles back in the late 1990s after years of doing custom work on 1911s. They quickly earned a reputation for making excellent guns and components. In 2003 they got a big government contract to supply the Drug Enforcement Administration with a bunch of AR-15 style guns. The LAR-15 from Rock River Arms comes with a forged A2 upper receiver and a 20" barrel made of chrome-moly HBAR with a 1:9 twist. This rifle also features an A-2 Flash hider, A2 front sight, and an overall black finish. This rifle also features a mil-spec two-stage trigger, standard safety selector, and standard trigger guard. The Rock River Arms LAR-15 is the closest you can get to an original USGI A2 rifle.
